Job Description

The Legal Analyst position constitutes an excellent opportunity to gain substantive, hands-on
experience in the dynamic fields of complex civil and criminal financial litigation. Analysts
immediately join case teams and benefit from close collaboration with the firm's attorneys, enjoying
levels of responsibility and client contact surpassing those offered at other firms. General duties
include, among others, factual and financial analyses, legal research, preparation of court papers, and
attendance at client meetings and court appearances under the supervision of the firm’s attorneys.
Kobre & Kim LLP is currently accepting applications for its New York City and Washington D.C.
offices for summer 2012 start, with opportunities for advancement. Compensation is highly
competitive with respect to top-tier consulting firms.

Job Qualifications

Legal Analysts are typically top-ranked graduates from the most highly-ranked colleges and
universities. Candidates should possess a four-year college degree, a strong GPA, and excellent
writing, research, teamwork, and communication skills. Applications are strongly encouraged from
highly-motivated individuals displaying a broad range of academic and extracurricular interests.
Interest in exploring financial markets and pursuing a career in law is welcomed, but not necessary.

Submit a cover letter, two writing samples, and a resume (including your GPA). Argumentative
papers written for college courses and/or independent research papers are preferred; however,
anything else that best reflects your writing skills, analysis, and critical reasoning abilities is also
acceptable. Full papers of 5-15 pages are preferred to excerpts from lengthier samples.
